Do you already have a sub? I was looking at SONOS produucts for some time and their playbar that uses optical in, and if you are saying that optical would not support all features, I will need to reconsider.

Can you hook one up to a receiver? It doesn't take much in a quiet house to hear it. The amp is just for films or games and will be switched on for that reason only.
