Hook up boost gauge
The VQ35DE is a strikingly divisive engine when it comes to winning the hearts of aftermarket enthusiasts. Remove the top screw cap that will be the front molding when the boost gauge is installed into the mounting panel.
Vacuum hose offers OE-level durability and it integrates into the underbonnet scenery perfectly. Don't apply so much glue it's impossible to remove the faceplate however - you may later need to access the back of the gauge if its bulb blows. When the winter begins to wind down, you need to use these Connect tips dating profile nylon line to your boost gauge, or if you have an electronic boost gauge connect the wiring harness to the boost or pressure solenoid and run the electrical connector into the cabin as you would have the nylon line.
As the nuts are tightened, the bracket pushes against the rear of the faceplate and - in doing so - pulls the gauge face securely against the front of the faceplate.

A 40mm gauge was used in this case. Analog sensor not included, but required for boosted applications E46 M3 has the following compatibility issues which can prevent function: If the gauge uses screws or nuts and bolts to secure the hook up boost gauge, do this now to ensure the gauge is protected from damage.

Zip tie the vacuum line out of the way, and coil any excess under the dash. This step is completely optional.
L is the bargraph start, H is the bargraph end. With the faceplate completed, we plug our new wiring connector into the back of the gauge and check that it illuminates along with the other dash lights.
